APICS Milwaukee Names IBVI As Company Of The Year

APICS Milwaukee, a premier professional association for Supply Chain Management, has named Industries for the Blind and Visually Impaired (IBVI) as their Company of the Year. This award comes from a partnership between the two companies working together to level the playing field and provide greater career advancement options for supply chain personnel who are blind or visually impaired.

APICS has recently made its supply chain training accessible for all staff at IBVI, who use these affordable and accessible training resources from APICS to better equip employees and enhance ongoing supply chain efforts. Training employees who are blind or visually impaired is a newer task for APICS, but IBVI has found their support invaluable, and the partnership continues to grow.

“It’s an honor to receive this award from APICS,” said IBVI President and CEO, CJ Lange. “I would especially like to thank Gary Kerslake of Kerslake & Associates for his dedication in offering training for our employees. His efforts have allowed our blind and visually impaired supply chain staff at IBVI to operate on the same educational playing field as sighted supply chain personnel.”

IBVI is an AbilityOne-certified national industrial supplier and distributor of office supplies, customized kitting, branded merchandise, and other items, primarily for the US government and military. IBVI believes in equipping and empowering their workforce, largely made up of those who are blind or visually impaired.

APICS Milwaukee is an organization that works to empower and grow supply chain professionals and students through certification courses and seminars geared toward developing the workforce of today and the future.
