Rescue 22: Meet Jeremy and Dexter

IBVI has continued to donate funding annually to the Rescue 22 Foundation. With that funding, their K9 trainers are able to provide the advanced, specialized training needed for their service dogs to be able to best support the needs of our returning veterans across the country.

Rescue 22 Foundation’s primary mission is to provide the highest quality task-trained dogs on behalf of our nation’s veterans. R22 provides psychiatric, mobility, and medical service dogs to our veterans at no charge and without geographic restrictions. Service dogs that meet the needs of veterans diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) remain their most requested type of dog. Currently, the VA does not provide funding for service dogs for PTS, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), or other non-mobility diagnoses.

Dexter was successfully integrated with Jeremy and his family this Spring.

IBVI is very proud to continue supporting the efforts of Rescue 22 Foundation!
