Update from CEO and President CJ Lange 5/21

To All IBVI Staff,

We know a lot of people have questions regarding what our returning to work plan will be, and what that will look like at IBVI.

As IBVI was deemed an essential business and has remained operational during this pandemic, employee safety has been one of our biggest concerns. Moving forward, we’re still considering employee safety as we start bringing more people back to work at our facilities. We have personal protective equipment (PPE) available for people to use in the facility (gloves, masks, etc.) We have increased the number of areas within our facilities that have hand sanitizer available and are looking to add some additional wall dispensers in the upcoming month. We also have increased cleaning protocols. This week and next, all of our executive team members will be working with their business unit leads to roll out their areas’ return to work plan that will start the week of June 1.

We will continue temperature screenings by a nurse for at least the first two weeks of June. After that time, we will determine our next steps. This means we’re asking employees to continue to follow our screening protocols and enter the facility through one point of entry (policy specifics are posted here). Vendors/visitors will be asked to come to our facilities prior to the 9:30a (West Allis & Janesville) or 9:15a (Menomonee Falls) and submit to our non-contact temperature screening process.

We will continue to have a relaxed attendance policy as it relates to sick time. We’re doing this to encourage individuals to stay home if they’re sick without worrying about obtaining an occurrence against their attendance record.

Premium pay (On-Site-Only Pay) will end on May 29 to coincide with us beginning to bring those working at home back to each IBVI facility.

We’re asking everyone to adhere to the COVID-19 Q&A that was most recently sent out, and please keep in mind, as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) update their recommendations, we will be updating our Q&A document and other COVID-19 policies we are following and have in place.

As we move forward, best work practices will continually be re-evaluated. We will communicate updates to all of you as things change. We appreciate the hard work and overall efforts that everyone has been putting forth during this unprecedented time.
